叔父茅封贵，先帝棣华亲。

Uncle Maofeng held a noble position, closely related to the former emperor's glory.

平生为善最乐，夙德宛天人。

Throughout his life, he delighted in doing good deeds, and his early virtues resembled those of a heavenly being.

玉叶金枝方茂，瑶沼丹壶如画，光景镇长新。

Jade leaves and golden branches grew luxuriantly, the jade pond and the vermilion pot were like a painting, and the radiant scenery remained eternally fresh.

五福一日寿，万象总皆春。

Five blessings and longevity in a single day, all things were in eternal spring.

正秋分，记初度，绂缠麟。

At the autumnal equinox, he remembered the beginning of his journey, when he was dressed in ceremonial robes adorned with a unicorn motif.

传宣来自绛阙，瑞采蔚轮。

Proclamations came from the crimson court, and auspicious signs filled the sky.
