浪浪竹瓦日鸣瀑，烂烂苔砌长跳珠。

The sound of water splashes against bamboo roofs and tiles, resembling the cascading of a waterfall. Lush moss-covered walls create a picturesque scene, as drops of water skip like pearls.

江流入市舞篙楫，野潦断路迷樵苏。

The river flows into the market, where boats and paddles dance. Overflowing water from the wild disrupts paths, causing woodcutters to lose their way.

孤树空留白屋少，平地欲缩青天舒。

犬鸡登檐叫云雾，蛟鼍上岸疑江湖。

Wearing humble attire like quails and resembling the form of geese, people strive to avoid ruin. Those with withered necks and young foreheads support each other side by side.

下车以来宣德意，但有宽政无急符。

Since descending from his carriage, the envoy has been promoting the benevolent intentions of Emperor Xuan, but the only directives are those of leniency, not urgency.

溺饥沓至盖由己，食必稷奏土禹敷。

Drowning in hunger, the masses arrive in haste, acknowledging that it's their own responsibility. Food should be provided like the offerings of Jizhe and the distribution by Yu to ensure sustenance.

故侯遗我四百万，指此亟作民良图。

The departed marquis left us four million, indicating its use for the urgent creation of a virtuous plan for the people.

馈无所处不受是，君子货取安可乎。

Gifts should be accepted without restriction, and there is no place where they are not welcomed. A noble person procures goods with a sense of security.

分甘固欲买不语，沟清那肯同渠污。

Those who divide sweetness are likely to buy their silence. Just as clear ditches wouldn't willingly be polluted by filthy channels.

一朝尽散色不靳，可使被泽遗匹夫。

Once these resources are exhausted and their brilliance fades, they could be left behind like rags by the river, forgotten by even the common people.

钱从民来复还民，涂血不用子母蚨。

Money comes from the people and should be returned to the people. It should not be tainted with the blood of innocent citizens, nor used to benefit only a select few.

坐令鴈泽得复集，岂但鱼沫聊相濡。

If one sits idly by, allowing the goose pond to naturally replenish, not only will fish frolic harmoniously, but so will the waterfowl.

四旬奚堪水五至，十室不忍烟九无。

Within forty days, how can one endure five periods of flooding? With ten households unable to bear the smoke, nine will disappear.

只求编氓易菜色，宁计私橐如匏虚。

We should only aim to encourage farmers to cultivate diverse crops. It's better to plan for communal granaries than to calculate personal gains, which are as insubstantial as hollow gourds.

方今污吏争侵渔，溪壑不厌求赢余。

In the current state, corrupt officials vie to exploit the fishing trade. They relentlessly seek excessive profits from the brooks and valleys.

官钱花破入私帑，期限火急催民输。

Official funds are squandered and deposited into private coffers. Urgent deadlines pressure the citizens to submit their taxes.

贪者尽笑公迂儒，安得天下皆公迂。

The greedy ones laugh at the straightforward Confucian officials, but how can the world be filled with such virtuous individuals?
